  • Pre/Post Event Massage:
    To prepare the horse to work at optimum performance.
  • Pre Event:
    The goal of Pre Event massage is to increase circulation, stretch the horse out and ease any obvious muscle tension. Pre Event is a 20-30 minute massage ideally given right before the horse is to compete.
  • Post Event:
    To help the horse recover and ease stressed muscles.
    This time we stretch to help prevent muscle tightening. We continue to evaluate and work on stressed muscles from the workout.Post Event is also a 20-30 minute massage but given about 15 -20 minutes after the horse is done competing.
  • Full Body Massage:
    Routine maintenance massage for increased well being
    This preventative maintenance massage benefits all horses, from broodmares, to the sport horse/competitive athlete. By staying proactive and properly caring for the equine body with massage you can lower those risks of lameness and costly veterinary bills.

The preventative maintenance massage takes about an hour. When your horse first starts their sessions the entire body will be addressed equally going over 26 main muscles. As sessions progress we may tailor the horses massage to specific target areas and muscle groups.

Ideally this massage should be performed every 2-4 weeks

  • Discipline Specific or Area Specific Massage
    Specific discipline massage therapy dependent on use of horse and muscles that are common.

Massage therapy may be also be used break down scar tissue, loosen muscle tissue and help decrease soreness and pain after injury.

Day of Massage

Allow for extra time for consult prior to first massage. Please have horse clean free of mud and dirt. An area with minimal distractions is optimal for massage such as a stall works best.
